- Ahpra registration is a licence to practise. It is not a visa, and it does not give you the right to live or work in Australia.

NMC registration and Ahpra registration are two separate authorities. Moving to Australia means qualifying afresh with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, through Ahpra — your UK registration and experience support that application, but they do not transfer automatically.
